Tilt &Turn Windows - Please read if you have!

Just moved to a new place and the windows have been giving me red flags. I thought the cats would definitely hit the screen and fall to their doom. A quick google search killed that idea, its much worse!

It's a newer place so has newer windows. I haven't seen them before.

Do not leave your tilt & turn windows in tilt position! It is hazardous to your beloved. They try to jump to the tilt position window to see out and are unable to make it all the way. The cat is then stuck and continues to suffocate in the 'v' of the window.

Please don't ever put your windows in "tilt" position unless you can supervise at all times.

It seems that many cat owners have lost their family member due to this. It's just not worth the risk!

This was not the only instance, there are many stories that are incredibly heartbreaking. Please do not let your baby die this way.

How terrible! These are the kind of windows my grandmother had on her home built ~90 years ago, I haven't seen windows like these for decades! Can't believe they're making a comeback!

I know, it completely freaked me out reading the stories! They sell guards, but not in the US only in the U.K. I just won't be opening my windows in the tilt position

Wow that is awful.
I would put new windows on the first home project. Hope they aren't all over the house.!
