Hello I hope you are all having a wonderful morning! We are expecting cold weather so we are planning to head to Florida. I usually leave my baby in a pet hotel in the DisneyWorld Resort area and he has a good time. I hate doing that because I feel awful when I don't get my morning purrs and snuggles. But my cousin that I am visiting is allergic. Any ideas on how I could keep my baby with me and not cause allergies ? They have a patio I was thinking if bringing part of his outside enclosure I have here.

A lot depends on how willing your cousin is to work with you. Bathing and brushing the cat daily on your part, plus taking an agent such as Zyrtec on your cousin's part may cut back on the reaction enough to be bearable if you confined him to the bedroom you'll be using during the visit (the cat that is, not your cousin :).

As Patti said, a lot of it depends on your cousin. Shango & I are currently staying at my parents house until our new house is ready. Unfortunately, it turns out that my mom is allergic to cats. I'm not able to fully bathe him, unless I want my arms getting shredded in the process. I do let him play in the sink or shower, but that probably doesn't help a whole lot. I brush Shango at lease once a day, sometimes twice. I also vacuum every day. Shango is confined to the large guest room most of the day and I have a small office area set up in one corner so I can also be in the room with him while I work during the day. Despite all of that, even with an arsenal of allergy pills & nasal sprays, she still constantly sneezes. Luckily I have a very loving mom who is willing to deal with it... even though our stay has gone from 2 months to more like 4-5 months.
