Hello Savvy Lovers; from NorCal :)

I can relate Paul, I have laughed so much more since Zeus came home, than I had for years prior to. Is good thing for him as he morphs into "diablo gato" ... I can almost see the horns when gets like this. Anyways is good that he has the humor to offset the other ;devil;

Well, I just came back from the vet. She immediately said that she heard a murmur but it was very light. After about two minutes of calming him down though, she said that she couldn't hear it anymore and looked quite relieved. So I guess it may have been just the stress of being at the vet.

She told me to feed him only his Iams food for now because it's the only thing he consistently eats and she wants to make sure that a diet change does not affect him for the next two weeks. She gave me a two week dose of 50mg Metronidazole to see if that helps his stool and anything that is effecting him for now. I also went back with a stool sample for them diagnose (they will get back to me later today). Poor guy though. The tech wanted to get the stool sample while we were already there but she said that he didn't have enough in him to take. About 2 minutes after I left the vet I smelled his stinky poop and 30 seconds later he was back there screaming in his kennel saying "Dad!!! I just pooped all over, get me out of here!" So I brought him home, cleaned him up and went directly back to the vet to give them the sample.

Paul, that is awesome about the murmur...and glad you got the poop sample as well! I guess we will see what happens? I am talking as if Sorte was my cat ;)

Yes, I am quite happy that to hear that his murmur is a non murmur. LOL! That keeps me less worried about giving him longer play times and that he will be okay. She did say that what the breeder and her vet called an "extended sternum" was actually a broken sternum at some point in time, but she didn't say that it would affect him as far as she could tell. I can share Sorte with you too Paige! :p. He can be your online Snow. Hehe.

Well, we just received Sorte's official pedigree. :) Looks like our little man also has a quite a bit of Bengal in him also on the mama's side. Pretty cool to see even though I have no idea what half of it mean... LOL!

WAY TO GO SORTE!! Whew!! Glad the murmur seems to be a non-issue. Awww Paul, you healed his heart and he's dug his claws in yours.

Hahaha, yes I was very excited to hear that he will be fine. :) He is getting more and more wonderful every day (I have no idea how that is possible, LOL!). Everyone that comes over can't help but play with him and love his awesome/playful/loving personality! I had my parents and little brother over yesterday for Mother's Day for a BBQ and by the end of the night my Mom actually said, "I would definitely consider getting a Savannah if we ever got another cat"! That was very unexpected, but you better believe I will have them over more now to play with him now that the seed is planted! Hahaha!
