Hello Savvy Lovers; from NorCal :)

Thanks everyone. :) He is doing a lot better with his medication too. He has never given me an issue, despite how bitter they say it is. He has gained a good amount of mass/size in the last week or so and looks much healthier. Last night, he was just bursting at the seams with energy from about 10PM-1AM when I went to bed. LOL! He is getting much better at entertaining himself too, but the only way to really get him tired at night is a good 20 minute session with the wand and a couple toys. :)

Well, Sorte seemed to be doing a bit better as he was taking his last medication. He has been more active and eating/drinking well, yet his stool has still been between soft/runny. I went and took another sample in today and they found he has both Giardia and Coccidia. :( Poor guy has probably had this since he got here. They have prescribed him Metronidazole and Albon. My wife and I did a whole house cleanse and I washed all his litter boxes and food/water dishes with a diluted bleach mixture. Looks like he will be on meds for another 2 weeks or so. Hope this will clear things up for him this time. I want to see him healthy and "normal" and be sure that he is getting right nutrition during these growing times.

Thanks Paige. It think he is going through a growth spurt right now too. He eats a good amount after play time then sleeps a lot off and on during the day right now. I wish I could be feeding him a good, nutritional food already, but I can't change anything still until his meds are done and he checks out OK. So it's still Iams for now... :(

he will be ok, paul. And as long he is eating, that is all that matters...when Taj was sick, he would only eat Meow Mix :p

Yeah, hes eating... as long as I play with him. LOL! If I tire him out, he will go eat a good bowl of food. If he doesn't get play time though, he walks over to his food bowl and eats about 4-5 bites and leaves. He might do that 3-4 times a day. So I do my best to get 3-4 good play sessions in per day which is not a problem since I have been laid off for a little over a month now. I am home quite often.
