I would think in play time or rough housing the savannah would have the upper hand, but have you ever heard of serious problems with interactions?
I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback and several cats (Savannahs and Highlanders). I have some Savannahs that totally intimidate him. I have others that love to play with him and they get along great. I also have one who now has seizures because he grabbed her by the head and dragged her around (all in play)... point being, do not leave them alone unsupervised until you are absolutely sure that both will be safe.

Thats a great idea I was thinking the same thing about flying down! When they're shipped do you know if they're sitting long in the crate? My friend also has an RV, I may set him up in the bedroom it has

I kind of figured from what I say the savannahs are usually the boss. My boy is good at listening to me if he growls over food with the other dogs or anything. I heard savannahs are possessive over food too, can I pet it early while it eats to avoid that down the road?

You can read my posts in the "Meet Venus" thread in the introduction area. All of my noob trial and tribulations are in there. My whole reason for getting Venus originally was to help with Tess. We lost our male Mastiff, Mason, due to age and she took it real hard. Self mutilation due to bad depression and OCD behaviors brought on by the passing of Mason is what our vet said.
I wasn't ready to bring another large dog into our home so I started looking for alternatives. I came across the savannahs and liked what I read. I adopted Venus and the rest is history. She healed the whole family.

My heart goes out to you, its literally like losing a child I can't imagine the devastation if I loss Bentley. My brother committed suicide a year ago too and that's what brought me into all this. Life cuts us breaks sometimes though and puts the comfort of animals in our lives

People here are amazing thank you for the response!! My whole family is really happy for me (even though they think I'm slightly crazy) but I'll def minimize the visits. Does the bond grow stronger over time?

They are in the crate from drop off until delivery, so for 1-2 hrs before the flight, during the flight, and until picked up at the arrival airport (I usually recommend keeping them crated until they are actually home and in their quarantine room).

Food aggression is usually only seen (if at all) in young kittens and they typically outgrow it by 6-8 months of age. If your new boy shows signs of food aggression you should still be able to pet him while eating as long as you don't try taking his food away!

These babies are adorable! Which one is yours???
You will be amazed at the bond that forms, and yes I would say that it continues to grow over time...
