72 hour vet appt for warranty tomorrow ..... Is there any tests in particular I should ask the vet to do? Anything they'll want to do that I should refuse? Atlas will be 14 weeks on Wednesday, he's neutered and has 2 feline panleukemia vaccines from the breeder.

Take a poop sample if you can get one and have the vet run a PCR panel for all parasites. You might talk to the vet about drawing blood for a full panel too but that might be overkill if he's otherwise looking and acting healthy. The blood results will establish a baseline, though, from which the vet can tell with future blood draws a annual exams whether there are changes that merit attention.

For the 72 hr vet exam, all I had done was a general non-invasive exam, weigh-in, and poop panel.

A blood panel (CBC, CMP) might be a good idea to get a baseline. I personally always run a respiratory PCR on any cat/kitten I bring in, and a diarrhea PCR there are any abnormalities with the stools (diarrhea, etc.). However PCR tests are expensive so this needs to be weighed against potential benefits.

I was wrong naming the 2 shots Atlas had at the breeder. The Secretary at the vet told me they were actually 2 distemper shots. Waiting to see the vet now.

Distemper is actually the "street name" for an FVRCP vaccine that covers panleukopenia, calicivirus and rhinotracheitis.

Everything was great at the Vet, he's negative for both FIV and FeLV. They also dewormed him and ran tests on the stool sample I brought and said everything is good.
