Here i have a little bit the same problem. Moes and Mila are now 8 months old. Since weve got them their stool is also with mucus and they have diarrea. Also sometimes blood. Test for Giardia was positive. We tried almost everything, and nothing worked. Two days ago I called the vet. I wan't them both totally checked up. Their stool their blood, everything.
I also thought it could be tritrichomonas foetus. They will also check for that.

Because Mila her diarrea was so watery I couldn't collect it to get to the vet. So they are there now for two days. I miss them so much.
But this is the best option for me now, I really want to get them better.

If the test again only shows Giardia i will also, together with te medicins, start with probiotics and with colustrum therapy (don't know if this is the english name for it) but it is also good if cats have diarrea.
And I also start with 100% grainfree food.

If something else in the test shows up I will let you know.. Maybe then you can also check that.

Poor babies, I hope they get better soon!
I only feed her grain free food so I did with my past cat.
