If they are eating, I would probably keep them crated. If they aren't then I would release them. It's certainly not going to get any easier capturing them and Mom is definitely going to get better at finding hiding places for them.

Everybody got very big gardens here and there are 100's of spots where i can find them.
Now i found them back in very high grass. difficult to spot but there are better places.
Also i can't just go in everybody's garden.

Yes they are eating now so i leave them like this.
I'm going to at a litter box right now and finished.

Hey Neils, that sounds like a plan. Too bad you can't capture the Mom so she could be spayed and released as it sounds like this is going to be an ongoing issue. Hopefully the kittens will all be able to be sociallized and find great homes.

It's definitely a great thing you are doing and as soon as your municipality has a plan in place even the outdoor feral cat population can lead some pretty good lives.

Oh, and one last thing, in the evening a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel or blanket will provide a great deal of comfort for the kittens. Kind of like Mom's warmth and lends some security to some frightened kittens.

Oke thanks john.
I can capture the mom but i would need to pay for it myself.
And there are many moms and dad here.
I'm pretty sure she will be pregnant again, i see a male jumping on all te cats.

Hey Niels, it's a good thing that you do and as for getting the Mom taken care of you'll need to make the call. It's something my family has taken on ourselves over the last few years and fortunately there is a few vets that will provide neuter and spaying services on the cheap for ferals. Near my Mom's home it's been extremely successful and there are a handful of fixed ferals that keep the others at bay.

I'm also reminded of a story my grandfather told me as a child when we were at the beach.

I am in contact with some people and still am awaiting there responds.
maybe i can find someone to finance it.

If not i need to make the decision of doing it myself or waiting a year.
Next year my city will pay for it, the law is passed but not active yet.
It will only mean few more litters... what i really don't want.
