Am I Crazy to get an F1? I'd like an honest answer from those who have been there?

Our two F1 boys are very much different when it comes to traveling out and about. Dino wants no part of it while Dooley pretty much loves the whole thing as long as Daddy is nearby. The one downside is Dooley is extremely powerful and he is a recipe for disaster on a leash. If he were ever to get spooked there isn't anyone that could grab him and certainly no harness that would constrain him. That being the case, and all the things are out of our control, he doesn't go out any door unless he's in a carrier.

Thank you everyone for the candid advice and comments. I greatly appreciate them, and this group. Unfortunately, a family emergency has made the immediate decision for me. My father has had an ATI and I'll be heading to FL to help them and determine next steps; so we're not able to adopt any generation for now. Sometimes the cards you're dealt take you completely out of the game, but the family I have comes first right now.

I don't know what an ATI is but it doesn't sound like a good thing. I hope your dad will be OK, Keri!

Echo just rolls with it all. He's quite the character. I received these flowers yesterday, took a few photos and put it outside. Too big a temptation.

Thank you. It's a stroke.

I'm so very sorry about your father. I hope that it is not a severe one and that rehab is successful now. Best wishes!

So sorry about your Dad. Hopefully it is a small ATI , and he will have a full recovery.
Thank you. The short explanation is that the event was relatively minor but he has early onset dementia so there is a lot of confusion with hallucinations. We are getting a plan together. I have a close family. We'll work through it.

Having a close family is a blessing, even more so at times like these. I hope everything goes smoothly with your fathers' recovery.
