So Amara has had a interesting weekend.
Friday she almost got rushed into the vets. She decided she was on a mission to kill a bark scorpion that got into the kitchen, what a pain I stepped on it and she wouldn't step away for me to dispose of the remains. So at Some point before I knew that It was there It got her on the paw, scorpion 1 Amara 0= upset me and dead scorpion. Called the vet as I grabbed her to take her, vet said to calm down they don't generally see cats having reactions to scorpion stings other then swelling and some pain, keep a eye on her and if there's other issues bring her in. So her paw swelled for about 3 hours, didn't seem to bother her, swelling went down, no other reaction.

Sunday morning encounter and traumatized Squeakerz. I'm watching tv and I hear what seems to be a large dog growling inside the house, I jumped up to investigate and there's Amara in the window poofed up 4 times her size growling and hissing at a street kitty outside the window taunting her:LOL:. Poor Squeakerz ran in to investigate startled the vicious beast growling, Amara jumped did a 180 and let out a big hiss at poor Squeakerz, she spun back around and continued telling the street kitty to get the F away from her window.
Squeakerz evacuated the room in a hurry and found a different window to look out, they made up about 45min later.

That growl that Amara was letting out WOW, thought for sure a dog got in. For a goofy spaz who sometimes get scared of her own shadow from time to time, I wouldn't want to run into her in a dark alley when she was angry.

Realize that if Amara is that disturbed by the street kitty, you might want to consider how to keep kitties away from the outside of your house. When you saw that hiss at Squeakerz this can turn into more intense redirected aggression and you may end up with a difficult situation on your hands. It might be worth working on the issue before it's a big issue for your household?

Glad that Amara's paw resolved on its own... I'd have freaked out by the swelling too. I've heard that you can give benadryl (diphenhydramine) for the swelling, maybe having the child tablets on hand if scorpions are a thing where you live?

First scorpion ive ever seen here at the house hopefully the last.

Once Amara realized it was her little sister behind her, she redirected back to the intruder was just a quick big hiss which startled Squeakerz.
Squeakerz just startled her while she was in the moment. Hopefully never goes further then that. Amara gets so focused sometimes the whole world goes dark except what she honed in on.

I'm definitely going to try to keep the visitors at bay if they do come back, hopefully they go home, breaks my heart every time I see a street kitty. Too many dangers here for people to let them roam free.

After all the trama. Happy to hear no reaction other than the annoying swelling and hopefully fleeting memory of the total event. An annoyance of sorts is bound to happen. Sounds as though your babies have their terrain covered as in keep off! Hopefully, calmer days have followed. Everyone loving everyone again and all is well. Nap time.
