Angry Meows! Help! Neighbor Cat Looking in Patio Door

My 2 boys love looking out the patio door as they often see squirrels, birds, turkeys and badgers eating around the back yard. We have even now put some light seed on the ground so the squirrels come closer to eat it as the cats REALLY ENJOY watching them.

Now all of the sudden the neighbor's outdoor cat (from across the way) has discovered my 2 cats looking out the patio door. Alas, before I realized it a meowing fight fest began. I quickly ran to the lower level and made noises to the outdoor cat, he stood there looking at me. I opened the patio door and made advances at him waving my arms with huge noises. He finally ran. He keeps coming back to the patio door now.

HELP! This was such a lovely thing for my Savannah to be able to do, simply watch the little critters and it's getting ruined by the stupid neighbor cat now.
How can I stop this cat from coming into my backyard and going right up to the patio door?!?! Any suggestions please???

Thank you, in advance!

Wow that's a little difficult since the cat isn't yours. I know some people are against negative feedback even trying to train cats, however I find that using a spray bottle with a touch of vinegar in it to squirt ther cat will generally work. Be sure to use the stream setting, not the mist setting.

They also make a motion activated sprinkler that is used to keep deer out of plants.
That may work for the visiting cat and after enough spray baths it may stay gone.

Yes I think this is a good idea, I've had a similar problem some time ago and filled up one of those kiddies water pistols, a few skooshes usually is enough to ward off the unwanted visitor .
