Any savannah outdoor cats?

FYI, I have had a rescued cat get out for a few days and came back all torn up. The vet suspected the cat go into it with a fox, so this is a concern.
And that cat never tried to get out again after that.

The only way it would be transmitted via urine is if the contact is freshly after the cat has peed. And likely the other cat has a break in the paw or something
Male cats spray a bush, tree, rock to mark their territory and a FLV cat would infect that spot for a few hours and if your leashed cat or any other cat sniffs that spot they are at risk, http://pets.webmd.com/cats/facts-about-feline-leukemia-virus say's the virus will last a few hours, I am also thinking a clear hard plastic on the bottom of our enclosure as our breeder friend has.

A clear plastic is not a bad idea, additionally because cats can "play" or fight through most mesh...in catteries you could have studs killing each other through most chainlink fences. My backyard has solid wood fencing...

That IS a risk of letting a gorgeous valuable cat run around outside. Someone sees it and thinks to themselves "well the owner doesn't value it letting it outside where there are so many dangers to its life, I would be doing the cat a favor by bringing it indoors where it will live on average three times longer."

There are a number of reasons it is better for a cat to live indoors, all contributing to that longer lifespan.

So you're the people I have to worry about, what a shame. My pet loves the outdoors so I'm going to let it roam and enjoy what it loves to do, not lock it in a house for the rest of its life.

Not sure what you mean, by "you're the people I have to worry about" - people are concerned for the safety of your cat...obviously you do not see it that way... So good luck with that.
