Are Savannahs typically temperamental?

That's a great poster Carl. I hate the term "declawing". It sounds so benign. "First digit amputation" tells the real story.

Not sure if this matters at all but he has been declawed (not by us.) How does declawing affect a cat? I always feel so bad for him because I researched that they can be sensitive forever some experiencing phantom pain :( I truly hope that is not the case.

Witchy has already addressed this well, but as time goes on...if you experience any behavioral issues you just need to keep in mind the declaw issue. Knowing the issue helps you be able to work it out... he's lucky to be in a good understanding home now :)

I am not sure when he was declawed (I personally did not declaw him I just took him in previously declawed) I was just wondering if there is anything I should know in regards to ways to make them more comfortable...Great poster however he has not shown any of these issues since having him which is great! Thanks for the litter comment I gave him 2 litter boxes and have been seeing if he prefers one litter over another but so far he seems indifferent. I didn't think I would get as attached to a cat as my previous Mau but I love this guy! I think he knows he is loved. He has full run of his own part of the house and then can visit dogs and off dog areas at his leisure :)
