My boys are twitchy, but not days twitchy! Deb it is funny to me that Atticus is your scardy cat- I wouldn't have expected that!

Do they feed on each other's anxiety?

Before I put Taji on Prozac, the other cats definitely picked up on his anxiety. Now, if one gets scared by something the others will go on alert but usually calm down if they don't see/hear/smell something worth twitching their whiskers over.

Atticus is all love and no fight. He would be the bullied child on the playground if he were human. He's uber sensitive but only when something happens that takes him by surprise -- like the crow that scared him the other day and sent him running to my lap with ridge up and tail poofed. A crow:rolleyes:

And Deb, maybe you have spoiled Mr. Attius too much. I know how much of a temptation it is...but just possibley you have made him a Mama's boy...
I am TRYING to let Regie fight his own battles and overcome his fears unaided. IT IS HARD. I just wanna protect him from this cold cruel world. Too late for Kiki. She runs to me when she is scared or in trouble. Azidi I do not worry about. She may be skittish but she is NOT a coward.

Actually, she has been spending her "door open" time in her room. She may come out and look around for about 5 min, but seems to be rather disinterested in exploring. I still leave the door open for about an hour to an hour and a half so she has the option. Not going to push her. She does seem to be spending more time at the door looking at Regie through the vent. Maybe on my upcoming vacation I will try to intorduce the 2 of them. MAYBE. depends on her mood. And HIS.

Perhaps you should start having the door open time with another cat on the other side (e.g., Regie) to see what happens... maybe on a leash so the environment is 'controlled'...

I need to get Regie used to a jacket first, but I suppose I could put him in the cage for a bit. I will try that on my vaction in the next 3 weeks.

Regie has been a real love bunny when I get home from work. He wants IMMEDIATE attention and loves. Kiki is the same, but not quite as much. Then througout the evening he has demaded to be on my lap being skritched. Purring like a motorboat the whole time.

Wasn't too long ago you accused me of turning Atticus into a momma's boy and here you are with your daddy's boy. People who live in glass houses....:big grin:

Hey... I have NOT encouraged him. He runs across the room and takes a flying leap up on my lap.
Last night as I was getting into bed, he ran in from the hallway, jumped on the bed and serval leapt with both paws extended and grabbed my face. Caught the edge of my right eye, but no damage done but a teary eye. He wanted a hug. Easy little guy...Easy. He is 7 1/2 lbs now. Packs a pretty good punch.
