It has been a rough day. My best friend and music partner Michelle and I lost Her sister Susie today due to cancer. It was not unexpected, but it still it hard to take. I lost my wife to cancer 12 yrs ago, and I loved little Susie almost as much as I did my wife, so it is kind of a repeat experience for me. She was at home in Omaha, so I have not seen her for almost 2 years, which made it a little easier as my memory of her was when she was still rather healthy. Susie had been a cancer survivor for 10 years. But it still hurts and I will miss her very very much.
I am fortunate to have my 3 babies. Kilif and Regulus have been at my side today and have been trying to keep me distracted. Azidi has been really talkative and played red bug out in the family room with me for almost an hour tonight. My kids know. They do really help with grief.

Sorry for your losses. Glad you have your kitties to take good care of you! They tend to put a smile back, even in the hard times.

Thanks Deb. As I said, it was expected, but still, it is never easy. You guys and the furkids, make it easier. :)
