After Azidi's exploration time tonight, I took Kilifi into Azidi's room and held her about 5 feet away from Azidi. The two of them talked to each other in a rather calm manner and I talked with the two of them explaining that they should be friends. I was reluctant to let go of Kilifi, but she was not too much of a wiggle tail. Hoping they will become closer as time passes.

That sounds very promising! Are you doing that every day with them?

Just started today. She is out every day, but today she seemed like she was open to the idea. I will do it every day now.

I have begun to see something unusual with Kiki and Regie. When Kiki is off sleeping, Regie will sit on the floor or on the chair in the room with me. When Kiki wakes up, she comes in the room, sits at my feet, and Regie goes off to do his own thing. It is almost as if they have agreed that at least one of them will watch me all the time. Guarding me???

Either that or they're exhibiting a hierarchy where Kiki is on top, meaning when she's not there Regie gets you all to himself, but when she's there she gets first dibs so he has to step down...

Maybe so Patti. All I know is that they "seem" to have decided they do not want to leave me alone. Most of the time it is both of them.

Azidi is eating about 3 oz of meat each day in addition to her normal kibble. She seems to be more energetic, has a little more bulk to her skinny body, and is much happier. Her unique personality is beginning to show itself and she is a real sweetie. She loves head butts, and tail tugs. still not good with cuddles, but loves to be petted. Talks a mile a minute and will carry on a conversation wioth me. SHe also talks to Kilifi who will talk to her. ( through the door.)
During the rain storm we had this afternoon, I opened the back door and asked her if she wanted to look out at the rain. She looked at me and called me a silly human and walked off in a huff. LOL

She has layers upon layers upon layers to her personality it seems, I think perhaps you are only just starting to scratch the surface when it comes to discovering who Azidi really is...
