She will look at him from across the room, and IF I coax her, she will come close enough to smell him. When she has smelled him she will hiss quietly and climb up in her tree and stare at him. She does not run from him or really get angry. It appears to be more posturing than real rejection
IF I can get her to just coexist , not necessarily be friends, just not be enemies, then I will be satisfied. That way, they can all roam the house and be part of my family.

Perhaps you should start putting Regie in the cage in your room when you let her out to explore...

OK. I put the cage in my bedroom, ( where I think it will remain..) and Zidi went in and investigated. She was not upset or freaked out. I did not bring Regie in tonight. Felt it may be too much too soon. But after a couple of hours, She went back in her room. So I closed her door and let the 2 kids out. They immediately investigated the cage. There did not seem to be any bad feelings about it being in my room. In fact, Kiki slept on top of it last night. ( a respite from Regie bugging her...) I have a nice thick blanket on top of it, so it makes a nice little bed for them. Zidi slept on it occasionally when it was in her room. Anyway, when I see Zidi being more relaxed in my room, I will bring Regie in and leave him in the cage for a bit and see how she reacts. When she is ok with that, then Kiki and Rgie can share the cage. Small steps. Delicate psyche in my Zidi baby.

All righty then. Regie continues to grow. He weighed in at 6 lb 1 oz tonight. Kiki has lost an oz and is at 9 lbs 13 oz.
Regie has been a real love bug today. I was in the recliner and he hopped up and began washing my face hands and hair. He then fell asleep on my lap and we had a nice little nap together.
Zidi was out again and is getting more calm when out. She will come to me if I coax her out, and is not as skittish.

Poor Regie probably somehow knows that you are about to shove him into a cage as Zidi's newest zoo exhibit and is trying to convince you not to! ;) But daddy.....I wuv you!

IN THE PAST, He did not mind being put in the cage, as long as it wasn't more than 10 or 15 min. BUT who knows? The change in cage location may have him somewhat concerned.
And THAT IS what he was saying. I wuv you daddy.

Glad to hear they are doing so well Cary. How are pretty girl Zidi's ears? Is the Revolution working?

She had a treatment at the Vet's last time she was there and it is good for 3 weeks. Next Monday I will give her a Revolution treatment. But yes, her ears are doing fine, and she is much happier. :)
