Oh yeah, don't push her too hard or it will completely backfire. Just don't lose hope either

NOT losing hope. In fact, my hope factor has increased 3 fold since Regie came home.

Regie is such a love. After the Andrea session yesterday, I kicked back in the recliner and after about 5 min, Regie jumped up and nested in between my legs.
I began to doze off and Kilifi hopped up and laid down on the outside of my leg on the right side just opposite from Regie.
We all napped for about an hour that way. They were using my leg as a pillow. So sweet.
Zidi talks. and talks. and talks. Then she'll let me scritch her neck and back. Then she talks some more.
I just love my fur kids.

This is the type of situation where it would be good to open Zidi's door -- when you and the other 2 are relaxed and ready for a snooze.

I would do that if there was a way to open the door without Kilifi following me down the hall to check out my actions.
Even then, I still think Kilifi would chase Zidi and there would be an unpleasant confrontation. And maybe even worse if Regie added to the mix. Poor Zidi would be sure I had abandoned her and "thrown her to the mob".
It is a very slow process with my little "fraidy cat".

Sheesh. Being the keeper of the Savannahs is a bit of a worry today. Regie has been keeping his left eye partially closed this afternoon. I cannot see anything out of the ordinary with it when I open it, but it obviously is uncomfortable for him. Hopefully just a little playtime scratch and nothing serious. I will keep a close watch on it. Kids.
