It appears to be better today. Not quite totally open, but much better than yesterday.
He cuddled me all night. Maybe realizes that night is for sleeping.

Well, It looks like the Cheetah mom and kittens in the Cheetah cam in South Africa have been moved to a different enclosure where there is NO cam. Bummer!!

Sheesh. Being the keeper of the Savannahs is a bit of a worry today. Regie has been keeping his left eye partially closed this afternoon. I cannot see anything out of the ordinary with it when I open it, but it obviously is uncomfortable for him. Hopefully just a little playtime scratch and nothing serious. I will keep a close watch on it. Kids.

I hate to even type this for fear of jinxing myself, but we have gone 1 month without anyone here having eye boo boos. This is a record. Normally, one of the 4 has an issue -- either a scratch on the eye itself, which I hate for obvious reasons but also because I hate having to put drops in; or, a scratch or bite above or below an eye from when they wrestle; or, someone runs into something eye first:rolleyes: We call our place The House of Squints.

You have all boys, right? Although girls are more of a pain, boys are more roughhousers. At least in my house. Regie is always making Kilifi hollar "UNCLE" . And so far it is only Regie who has had any eye squints. So I am sure it is a playtime thing. As I mentioned, it is better today.
I am sorry for your squints. ;)

Hopefully Regie's eye will continue to improve. If there's no obvious drainage and it looks like it's getting better, it probably is just an oopsy from too much rough housing.

Hoping so. Thinking it probably is just a little boo boo. He is so darned rambunkcious. Flying tackles on Kilifi, jumping from counter to counter, trying to see if he can beat Kilifi to getting the thrown mousie... Kid is just a BOY. But a sweet lover when he is tired and wants some love.

I was a little sick the last couple of days and he refused to leave me my side. He was cuddling me while I slept, purring on me and keeping me warm. Not to mention washing my forehead when I would sweat a bit. He is such a warm litttle soul. Gotta say Thank you @Patti for not spaying Jasi before bringing him into the world. I so much love this little guy.

LOL, Jasi is still not spayed! And Tufani (Regie's sister), Chipukizi, and her sister (as yet unnamed) still 'nurse' on her almost every day. She truly loves being a mother! It took her a looong time to figure it out, but now she's just the best. Hard to put an end to that when she produces such healthy and loving kittens!

She does do that for sure. I am sure Tufani, being like her mom, will be a great mom too if selected to be a breeder. Regie is becoming a love like Jasi. People come over and after about 5 min he is their friend. So far, the only person he doesn't like is the vet. LOL
