What I see is wet makes for a trimmer and more muscular body and keener senses. Dry is more empty calories and fat. From what I have heard (and seen) they can live pretty well on dry, but they thrive on well balanced wet. And good wet food without the added garbage, will not stink them up very badly.

Commercial wet, no matter HOW high quality will add SOME fillers usually in the form of veggies or fruit. Also there is usually quite a bit of added moisture. Now, although not necessarily bad for kitty, they normally do not eat fruit or veggies in any quantity. They are obgligate carnivoires.

Raw is just that, choped up prey, with SOME added nutrients (not fillers) to fully balance the nutritional requirements

Canned probably also adds preservatives. I think fruits and veggies are considered a more natural way of adding needed vitamins and minerals, rather than using a commercial type powdered vitamin supplement.

I don't claim to be an expert. But I am really watching for grain and empty calories. And anything possibly toxic.

Silly kitties! I don't think they really know how to get into trouble - or else, they're just not trying hard enough today ;)

My babies seem to be very well behaved. The don't get into much trouble. Regie is the one who pushed the most. But then... He IS a boy. Kilifi is just my little love bug. Azidi is getting to be a love too. My Jasirisana Savanna cats are the best

Well I have installed a screen door on Azidi's room so the kids can all look at each other. Kilifi has been sitting at the door mewling very sweetly and quietly at Azidi who has been on the far side of the room being aloof. Regie has been running around ignoring the whole thing. I guess he is disinterested.

Yay!! Zidi now has another way to interact on her terms and feel safe. LOL Regie, typical boy. Kilifi is probably asking to come in for respite from the boy brat.
