Andrea was here today. Kids are all in excellent health. Physically and mentally.
They all feel like they are part of a family. Azidi even.
Azidi is happy and feels safe. She told Andrea she is not overly excited about Kilifi coming in and trying to meet her, but she will accept it if she must.
Quite the turnaround form the last time when she said "NO WAY will I let her in."
She knows this will give her access to the house, which she would like.
Andrea says every time she sees Regs, he is bigger.

She suggested adding some fish oil to the kids' diet. Especially Azidi. Also some sardines to help Azidi start eating less kibble.
And they should all get a raw FARM FRESH egg 2 - 3 times a week. ( for better Taurine levels.)
Ok I shall try it.

In all seriousness. I will not have a lot of $$ after I retire, so I will have to be EXTREMELY thrifty. I am really comfy with 3. Kittens DO tag my interest, but I can only spread myself so thin. I think 3 is a good limit. I can love 3 enough to be fair. And I MUST love them.

I hope she's not suggesting whole raw eggs because raw egg whites should definitely never be fed to cats. If you're going to feed whole eggs be sure to cook them first.

For clarification, I've found no studies showing taurine levels in eggs. There is supposition that because raw chicken meat contains high amounts the eggs also have it -- but no proof to date.

Egg yolks are a great source of protein, vitamins and amino acids.

There are also no studies showing definitively how much raw egg white must be ingested before biotin absorption is affected. I think 2-3 raw egg whites per week would be problematic considering the weight of cats. So be sure to lightly cook the whites if you're going to feed them.

I did see something on the net. (??) that said egg yokes contain 0 Taurine. Many amino acids but no Taurine. I will not chance giving them egg whites. ANY amount. SO although the eggs can be good for them, I will not chance it.

It would leave me in a psychiatric facility if I had 4 female savannahs. I'm halfway there now from the last addition. It gives me chills thinking about living with 8 SVs. And since I'm completely addicted to F1s now, that means 4 megalomaniac divas (5 counting me). Nightmare scenario. So I'd be unbalanced either way.
