When Our girl Pixie got stung we made some goop and dunked her paw in it. Then we used a syringe to make sure it was all between her pads. We didn't have any idea where the actually sting site was.

I would say inside of 15 minutes for a bee sting and almost immediately for jellyfish stings.
Interesting... I would have figured that a Jelly Fish would be much longer than a Bee Sting!
