I used a mixture of apple cider vinegar and Jolokia pepper sauce that was to hot for human consumption to keep the cats away from the cords. First go around I wiped all the cords in the house with a rag soaked with the mixture, and after that I would occasionally just spray the cords. That pepper sauce was just incredibly hot and I never managed to figure out how little to use on something to make and keep it still edible.

Anyway, not sure I would go out and buy a bottle for this purpose, but on it's own you can get a lot done with just vinegar as a deterrent.
