Biting

My 6 month old F3 male bites my chin and nose when he greets me. Is this normal and how do I teach him not to bite.

It seems to be a common trait for cats to nibble a human body part. Give him a firm "no" and put him down. If he tries again walk away. Redirect the behavior with a chew toy -- when he goes in for the nibble, stick a chew toy in his mouth.

I would guess that the only way your F3 kitten can reach your chin and nose is that you are lifting him up to your face to greet? A simple solution is to not put the tempting body parts in reach of his little mouth...

Chewing or nipping can be a difficult habit to break. If a stern 'no' does not do the trick alone you can try blowing in his face.

Thanks for the advice...I'll try blowing in his face.

The problem is, he nips me in the morning in bed! It's our favorite time of day.
