I was at a cat show yesterday for Black Cat Appreciation day... so not so online.

I had Baz (pictured) with me and he definitely got very appreciated by exhibitors and spectators alike :)

He was raised going to cat shows (when we were in Advanced New Breed, as he is one generation off SBT so can't be shown now) so is comfortable in that showhall environment...and really seems to like showing himself off and accepting everyone's admiration.

People kept saying "he's SO handsome" and I would reply "Yes, he knows..." LOL! He was compared to a panther a lot, and many were shocked to hear how much he weighs because they all assume he's at least 20lbs (I had him weighed at the vet a couple weeks ago and he's less than 14!).

Brigitte, Baz is so amazingly regal. Looks so much like a Big Cat. If I saw him without any size references I would say he was a Panther. He is awesome. :)

May02-09-dukie-baz-2.jpg True...he does have an older brother, Dukie, pictured here on left and Baz on right. He was only about half Baz's size (in this pic Dukie is over a year old and Baz six months old).. Dukie had charisma but was terrified at shows, but Baz kinda got an overload of personality and confidence I think :)

Apr3-11-009-walk.jpg Jul21-10-bath.jpg Sep29-10-baz-bed.jpg He's definitely a tall cat... but I think having the Servally smaller head proportionally makes him look even larger. Still when he stretches out in bed he runs quite a lot of the length of my body!

He's unusually tall, which I tell people when they meet him. Mind you, he still looked like a midget next to Trouble, the world's tallest cat ;-)

But he's good at shows to let people see that even being larger they are still very easy to handle. He got a lot of attention in his day for the black Savannahs which was good...now SBT specimens like Siri can continue that good work :)
