Am I making a wrong assumption that if the male and female you breed both have black noses you increase your chances of having some kittens with black noses.

I think so, it has seemed in my experience to be a recessive trait. But a black Savannah (melanistic) is not the same as a black nosed spotted tabby in that respect. And it needs to be a properly black nose, not the black nose loads of Savannah kittens have that morphs into a black-rimmed pink nose by adulthood.

I wasn’t referring to a melanistic Savannah but the spotted Savannah of other colors as amber(orange) or silver. Your answer clarified that for me.
