Bonnie Illies - anyone familiar with her?

Sunday: 5 oz
Monday: 6.2 oz
Tuesday: 3 oz for breakfast
Lots of finger-feeding and reminding ADD cat that it is feeding time.
Heat is supposed to come down today and hopefully that will boost the appetite back up.

Last night she remained fussy. She ate 2.8 oz, mostly off my fingers for a total of 5.8 oz for the day. I am considering doing another healing with Bonnie. The heat wave has broken and she is still not really hungry.

But then last night Rafiki decided to give me quite the fright. I was in the bedroom and I saw her jump onto the hallway railing (1-1/2" wide wrought iron with at least an 11' drop on the other side) and from there she balanced precariously before launching herself to the top of the cat shelves on the other side of the hallway. She nailed the landing perfectly and sprawled out quite proud of herself.

She is still being insanely fussy about food. It took me a good half hour last night and this morning to get her to eat 3 oz. On the other hand, she is ridiculously playful. That is all she seems to want to do. I don't know what to think. I have another healing scheduled for tomorrow.

Good luck with that. Hopefully the fussiness is just a normal variant behavior for her and not indicative of a relapse...

Last B-12 shot today. Rafiki lost another 2 oz and is down to 12.94 lbs. :(

I am noticing that she absolutely devours the freeze dried duck/chicken hearts and the dental corks. The real food, on the other hand, she rolls her eyes at. Her play level is back to normal. When I try to get her to eat, she just wants to play instead. I am wondering how much of her lack of appetite is due to her being tired of the same old bland food and how much is liver related.

Next week she is supposed to go for a follow-up with the internal medicine vet.

Glad she's playing. That's a good sign. Have you tried shrimp? When Nimbus wouldn't eat, shrimp almost always worked. I buy whole raw shrimps and cut them up in little pieces and mix with his meat.
