Can a kitten be 'born' with an aggressive nature?

I agree wholeheartedly. But once again feel compelled to point out the fact that the kitten this post is in reference to is NOT described as as "shy." THE BREEDER described the kitten as "fiesty" which I have come to understand is typically Breeder "code speak" that means "unsocialized."

Again, in response to the original poster, who inquired as to whether he/she should be concerned, my opinion is a resounding YES. Many more questions need to be raised about this placement by the potential Buyer, prior to taking delivery. The proposed home is a first time Savannah Owner with other existing animals in the home (feline and canine)...so, temperament on the new addition is going to be paramount to having a harmonious household...

If the BREEDER (presumably experienced) has expreresed concern over this kitten and is questioning the placement, it stands to logical reason that the Buyer (self proclaimed first time Savannah Owner and therefore inexperienced), should also have reservations.

I remain steadfast in my advice, which is "Proceed with caution."

I agree with you Cynthia, the kitten was not only feisty but bit the breeder. Unfortunately, it has been well over a week since the original post (when they were supposed to be picking up the kitten) so not sure what the outcome was. Would love to hear from @flyswatter for an update!

Yes, I would be interested to hear an update as they were going to go meet the kitten so that might have told them more about the kitten's behavior and how concerning it was....

But... In defense of said kitten that I don't know-- words can all be misconstrued. I have been nipped by playful kittens and even kittens that are upset-- as have we all. My definition of an aggressive kitten... Hmmm... I don't think I would call a kitten aggressive and I've dealt with ferals and wouldn't even call them aggressive. Fearful, shy, etc, but not aggressive. (Now, aggressive if cornered and forced into being handled? Yes. Aggressive perhaps over food if they've food issues-- sure. But I don't think I've ever seen a kitten that I'd label actually aggressive from my knowledge.)

Anyways, I guess my meandering point is-- all the OP has is the breeder's description of said kitten through words. In this case, MEETING said kitten is probably the best way to draw a solid conclusion in regard to his/her personality.
