Cat-Sip Milk Treat

I came across this Cat-Sip Milk at Pet Smart and was so excited to let Shango try it. Needless to say, I was definitely more excited over it than Shango was. My picky baby wouldn't even try it. I dipped my finger in it and tried to get him to taste it, but I guess he just isn't into it. Same reaction when I tried to offer him almond milk. Although he at least tried the almond milk... had to clean his paw off after splashing it all over the floor and cabinets

Has anyone else tried this Cat-Sip milk and actually had their cats like it?

Maybe I need to give in and try some fresh goat's milk ... I know it comes highly recommended by Atticus

My 3 kids will not even consider goat's milk. Smell it and walk away. Kilifi WILL drink cow's milk, but I do not give her very much.

Rafiki will only eat leftover milk from my morning cereal. The biggest problem is that when she eats it, it isn't leftover quite yet.

Yeah. That is the main reason I seldom have cereal. Kilifi gets more than me. I don't mind sharing with her, but I do not think sweet milk is too good for her. But if I let her have a little, she is happy ... :)

Lately, Shango just sniffs my cereal and walks ago or sits on the table and watches me eat. The only time he tried it, he ended up spitting it back out in my bowl  but I do usually use almond milk so that could be the reason or maybe he just didn't care for my taste in cereal lol! Completely different story if I have chicken or something Shango really wants on my plate. Then I have to very closely guard it and even then he sits inches away from my plate looking for an opportunity to steal it. Sigh... it will be soooo nice once we get moved into the bigger house next month and he can have his own room and be locked in it when I want to eat in peace.

I just liked the idea of giving him a milk treat since cats could always use more water/moisture. I'm not too worried though since he eats raw/wet and drinks plenty of water from his fountain. I guess I should consider myself lucky that he doesn't like all the fattening cat treats that aren't very good for him.

I've never heard of this before, and I can't tell what kind of milk it is from the box, but if it is cow's milk I wouldn't even bother. Goat milk is much healthier (and kinder to the digestive system) for cats.

I believe it's cow's milk. It says 99% lactose free, 1% lowfat milk.

The box lists the ingredients as: lowfat milk, liquid Kluyveromyces marxianis var. lactis fermentation product, taurine.

Some fresh raw goats milk is easier on the kitties tummy, good probiotic as well. Most cats cannot resist the goat milk. Also some plain goat yogurt is a tasty treat. I would say a little maybe two times a week. It shouldn't be a daily thing.
Hope this helps,

Ever try raw goat milk kiefer?? it taste like a barn floor that was put through a blender. Great probiotic though
