cats sleeping patterns

I know most cats sleep a lot of hours, but do savannahs sleep more or less than the average cat since they are more active?

Up until they were a year old, 3 of mine were awake more than the DSHs I had. Then they developed a truer crepuscular pattern. Atticus takes several short naps throughout the day and sleeps deeply from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The rest of the time he is on alert for things he may be missing. I'm curious if this pattern will change as he reaches full maturity.

I read somewhere that cats sleep 22 hours out of the day. If that is true, then none of my Savannahs are normal. They may sleep all day long while I'm at work (which I tend to doubt), but when I am home they are active for several hours until I go to bed at night.

How old is Atticus now..and when do they reach full maturity?
He'll be 2 yrs old in February. Physical maturity occurs at 3 yrs. I haven't a clue when they reach emotional maturity. In Atticus's case, I suspect it'll be between 3-5 years.

My kilifi, who will be 3 in March, is still a kitten at heart. Azidi, who will be 5 in April, has become a more laid back lady.

My savannahs are more active than my DSH, but he's 11 and they're 2 and 3. Tiger was a pretty active kitten, but I think my savannahs are still more active than he was when he was at his most active. They sleep a lot through the day though, but in spurts. They sleep completely through the night as well

Well with Zeddie I kept her locked up at night since she was a kitten because I was afraid of the overnight mischief and I live with my parents/neurotic grandma. She slept through the night since she came home, and got used to it pretty easily.

I got Jimmy as a foster when he broke his leg, so he was in a crate for 2 months healing. After that he was in my room at night with Zeddie. He yowled for a bit...if he drove me nuts he spent the night in a room by himself (and things cats need) but he gets lonely doing that so he adapted pretty fast. I could have just been lucky though :p
