Claws

My 7mo F6 female is constantly trying to bite her nails off, which I heard was relatively normal behavior, but when I went to trim them, some of her claws are dark grey or black. Of course Google told me fungal infection so now I'must freaking out since I can'tell afford a vet bill for a few more weeks. Any advice please?

Are you talking about the nail itself? Some nails have some coloration to them, and it is a pretty uncommon spot for fungus on a cat, but if you are concerned you should have your vet take a look to make sure everything is okay.

Have they always looked that color? My pixie bob's claws are very dark.
