Cone of shame, what to do?

Hey guys,

I'm new here so I'm not entirely sure where to post. Hope this is okay.

I've got a year old Snow Savannah and got her spayed yesterday (I wanted to breed her first, but decided against it because she keeps getting UTIs during her heat). The vet gave us a soft cone first, but she managed to fold it in half and bite her sutures. So I went back to the vet to get a hard cone, she managed to break the closure by biting it, within 10 minutes. The vet isn't sure what to do and honestly I'm not either. Do any of you have experience with this and can recommend something?

Thank you in advance :)

That sucks!! We had to use a paper plate with ours because the cones were too big - but I’m assuming that would be shredded instantly.

I agree with Paige - it sounds like the cone wasn't on correctly. A surgical shirt may deter her, at least worth a try. I hope she is on antibiotics if she has been chewing at her stitches?
