Glad to hear that things are going a bit better.
My Jarvis is a nipper when overstimulated, so I work hard to keep him from getting there. I also have very thin skin (literally not figuratively) and was on medication for a long time, which exacerbated it. Jarvis only nips me, not Mike, and he only does it when he is getting attention (belly and head rubs specifically), and is getting into that kneading/drooling/purring happy place. I will do one of two things. I'll give him a soft toy to mouth all over before he starts (if I have one nearby), or I'll tell him no firmly but gently before he starts nipping, when I see in his eyes that he is thinking about it.
My guy doesn't do well with scruffing, so we don't do that with him, but gentle reminders and redirection help.
My guy ONLY does this at certain times. We have snuggle time in the morning, before work, where he gets 1:1 attention from me away from Mike and the other kitties, and this is prime time to be nipped for me if I'm not aware and proactive.
Sending you good thoughts, this stuff can be tough to deal with.
