Deposit given on an unborn litter, what are my rights......?

It is the same in the US. I had a friend who tried to retrieve a girl that was on loan to another breeder. Even though my friend had her ownership papers and contract of the loan the police did not consider it a theft but a breach of contract and a matter for the civil courts.

I hope you will get your refund from the small claims court. Interesting how they have now decided to communicate with you again... dead kittens or no kittens, it's all the same - you still don't have a kitten of your own and they still have your money.

Lets hope this can all be sorted out between both parties before Court? It would save a lot of money and further bad feeling. Maybe you could agree a date to which you expect a kitten and if the kitten date passes, a possible refund?

Yes it's a shame it is coming to this but she has indicated that she will not refund my money so off to court we go. Seems silly to risk your reputation and livelihood plus legal fees and time and stress because she won't give me what is rightfully mine. Oh well, it's the principal for me and I will do whatever it takes !

hi , I have been in contact with the client and we have sorted out our differences amicably, and a refund has been sent to her.I was very upset at loosing the litter as you can imagine and then when client pulled out I basically saw red, even going to a Barrister who said i had every right to keep the money. Tho now iv calmed down I cant in all honesty do that so I have made the peace and the client also has apologised as she too was going thro a rough time. Regards the contract, I had indeed prepared one but when it all kicked off , i didnt post it out. The client is getting what sounds like a beautiful little boy from Pauline , Gayzettes, so I wish her every good luck with her new addition . Looks like I may getting a new litter in next couple of days from Pandora so hopefully happy endings all round.Iv added a picture of my F2 Maya who lost her litter, happily she is fine now tho the first week she stuck to me like glue but shes back to her usual self
