Thanks, I just flipped out because he started being nice to me (wanting affection in the daytime). He's usually standoffish in the daytime (unless I approach him then he allows me to pet him and starts purring), then at night he sleeps with me in the bed. So I figured this was his way of telling me something was wrong.

The little one seeks attention at all hours of the day...the big one rarely in the daytime.
Cats often are a bit cuddlier when weather is cooler and cloudier/more overcast. So maybe that is part of it?

We went through something similar with our kitten around Christmas and ended up bringing her in out of an abundance of caution. She was totally fine. Vet surmised it was probably caused by her nosing around, and maybe exacerbated by the winter cleaning we were doing stirring up extra dust/contaminants. A vet bill and 2-3 days of eye drops later and she was completely cleared up.
