Aww that poor sweet baby has been through so much. He is a fighter and thanks to the good care you and Trish provide, he's made remarkable comebacks from some scary situations. Both he and Dino are incredibly beautiful critters.

He is a fighter for sure. Less than 2 weeks ago he was the most critical patient in a hospital with 30+ patients. Not the first time he was on the brink and today he has completely regained his appetite and runs up the stairs when I tell him it's time to go to his room.
I've also never seen two cats that care as much for one another as Dino and Dooley. It definitely makes things a lot easier when you have a third hand comforting the convalescing Dooley.

Last night Dooley had his best night since the latest incident began. Solid head butts, enthusiastic purring, voracious appetite and playful wrestling with his brother. When it got to be too much, I told Dooley time for bed and he trotted up the stairs and into his room as he did when he was feeling well. One more doctor appointment, and the return of his wheel then things will be completely back to normal.

Dooley goes back to the vet today for a post surgery check up. We are so very fortunate that he is still with us.
He is looking very fit and trim, grooming regularly and about the only thing outside the norm is he is a little more cautious jumping down from things. He's still height restricted, so we do our best to escort him down from anything higher than knee high. Always funny when the vet says "don't let them jump around too much", pauses, then says "well do your best".
I'm sure we'll do some blood/ammonia levels and I'm hopeful all is good there. After surgery I was given the green light to feed him 100% of his modified raw diet and if I don't need to put another spoonful of the Hills Rx diet in him, I think we will all be happy campers.
Oh, and the wheel, I need to get the green light on wheel use as it scrubs off enough energy to keep things manageable.
