I'm so very sorry that Dooley is feeling poorly again! Hopefully he will make a quick turnaround and be home before you know it!

Dooley is being held over night at the vet and they are trying to wean him off the oxygen so he can come home.

Tomorrow we'll talk to the specialist whose care he is under and try to get a better plan together.

Spoke with the specialist today and she is primarily concerned with Dooley's heart. We also discussed doing an allergy panel although in the absence of coughing or wheezing she isn't convinced that his bronchial passages are the primary issue.

She also asked about possible mold or anything else we may have in the house that could be contributing.

I'm at a total loss right now and these repeated bouts are weighing pretty heavy on Trish and I.

I know we talked about Dooley's heart last month, did he ever see a heart specialist or get an echo done?

She wanted him to have a break and asked me to schedule something with the cardiologist in a month which we were about 2 weeks in.

We are supposed to talk again tomorrow and I will see if we can expedite things.

This may be way off in left field but has anyone heard anything about treating with colostrum? The mother’s first milk offers the newborn several powerful immune enhancing properties. Allergies are an overactive immune response. Thoughts?

I gave my cat's colostrum powder, because their diarrea was so bad. I don't know if it had helped, because I also gave probiotics.

I also really don't know if it would help for this but you can always try it
