Dooley still challenged

John, please remember that July of last year, I received similar news. Rafiki was diagnosed with liver fibrosis and without knowing the cause, we were given 3 years. We struggled for months with her getting better and than worse, over and over. Then in November, a miracle happened. We still do not know exactly what happened but a month after almost losing her, her liver showed normal values and began repairing itself. Let's hope and PRAY that the same miracle happens with Dooley.

Thanks Paige, although a liver shunt would have been far preferable to the new path we are on and a liver not functioning properly. Fortunately we'll be able to keep him stable under his current regimen until we have the biopsy results.

Sending lots of love your way. Sometimes I wonder if the sick ones end up with the people who will love them most because while we might not have them very long, they get people who love them so much for the time they have....

I'm thinking that Dooley was sent our way to relieve us of what is left of our personal possessions. He's certainly eaten or chewed most of them and Trish tells him every day "you're lucky your so damn cute".

John... Being a person of faith and heavily relying on prayer.. It works... Remember Elsa was on her death bed... Unconscious and vets recommending to put her down that she WOULD NOT last the night. People prayed and she not only survived, but she WALKED into that office proudly the next morning like nothing happened. I agree with Rafiki.. It may be hard, but don't give up... The best is yet to come... Keep the faith.
