Thank you all for all your kind words, wishes & prayers. One of my major concerns is sedating her again, when she was just sedated a few days ago for her X-ray.
(Kitty is asleep on my lap as I am entering this message, this is ONLY the 3rd time in almost 2 years this has happened. she won't allow me to hold her on my lap under any circumstances.)

I'm not sure where you are located, but sometimes you can find an HCM clinic that will do a basic echocardiogram for you. I've missed or forgotten - where is the shadow?
Actually it's two seperate issues, her enlarged heart. And then other concern is this shadow I'm assuming in her tummy because a mention of her possibly passing what ever the foreign matter is. I'm so overwhelmed with all this I hope I'm keeping all the facts straight. Kitty's doctor that I've chosen to see is not always available. The last 2 sort of emergency visits, Kitty couldn't wait until her regular doctor was in the clinic. I will send her an email have her review all the information and have her advise me. She is most familiar and knows kitty best. Sacramento would be the closest big city to me.

Eddies

Eddies a ham!
Scary times but the diagnosis will be worth it if it's manageable with meds. Eddie is on my mouse, he always lays on the mouse when I'm typing... sending lots of furry best wishes!

Did I miss a thread talking about why Kitty went to the vet, what her symptoms were?

If there is a hint of a foreign body in her digestive tract that is the more urgent concern, unless Kitty is also showing signs of congestive heart failure...

Brigitte, the thread called "Finicky eater........help!" mentions her kitty not having an appetite and being taken to the vet.

Kitty had not eaten more than a tablespoon of food for Almost 5 days and also no BM's for that time period as well. When they did the X-ray to address that issue is when the enlarged heart was dis covered.

My thoughts and heart are with you, hopefully things are manageable and kitty can spend lots more time on your lap.

Thank you so much.
I did have a 28 minute conversation with kitty's actual doctor, dr. w last night. Since she was not in house the day I took kitty in, I sent her an email and asked if she could please go over all notes documented on all this and give me a call......that I was overwhelmed and would appreciate her view since she knows kitty best. she said if kitty had eaten anything before coming in ( which I informed the other doc's that she had, about a tablespoon of can food) that likely that was the dark shadow. And after her viewing the X-ray said yes the heart is slightly enlarged but not to the extent of having to perform test IMMEDIATELY. YES, a cardio gram is absolutely necessary to see what is going on. But it doesn't need to be today. I shared with her kitty is eating well, very playful and BM's aren't as frequent but they are there. They are on the dry side like clay. Dr. w said keep a close eye and will schedule kitty's appt for cardio test. WHEW........ MY HEART RATE can now return to normal.
This got me to thunking......with the mention of enlarged hearts being linked to bengals and not common with Savannah's and the breeder purposly not providing any documents when asked REPEATLY ( all I have a copy of a copy sheet of printer paper with the information of Kitty typed up. No original document )about kitty's parents and bloodline......could it be possible that I was sold a Bengal ?
