Exciting News... Guess WHAT!

Savannah Super Cat
After about 3 days, we started spending more time with him, and eventually, we able to sit in there. It took a lot longer to pet him, but after about 6-7 days, we were able to pet him for short amounts of time.

He is now very comfortable with us. He doesn't like to be picked up, so we don't pick him up much(unless he's on something he's not on-but he's learning what is/isn't ok) and he tells us when he's had enough time.

He is out with Turbo and Targa now, and everyone is getting along really well. Targa and Leo are quite close to the same size, and similar colouring, in comparison to Turbo. The boys(Leo and Turbo) really enjoy playing together, and I think Targa is loving not always getting picked on by Turbo.

The pecking order has been established, but everyone gets along really well.

We actually call Leo our 'Walmart Greeter'. Anytime someone comes in the door, he runs and rubs against them, and smells them, and says hello. He's slowly letting strangers pet him too.

I think it's helped having him with our other two, he really started to become use to us from seeing us with our other two.

All three sleep and cuddle together, and everyone is grooming each other.

Christmas was a blast at our home, everyone got their toys, and treats, and everyone was happy! I hope that everyone else's holidays were great too!

All in all, we are VERY happy we got Leo, and he has made leaps and bounds. Improving every day. Can't wait to see him outside in the back yard for the first time in the spring!

Thanks for everyone's support. We went with your advice, and our instincts, and now we have three happy, healthy savannahs!

The best advice I think we could give is: gauge the all cats' reactions to scents and smells, and go with your gut feelings!

Every cat and situation is different, go with what you think is best of all.

I am sooo glad to hear that Leo has made such a complete turnaround! I was a bit worried when you first posted about his behavior, however as you and everyone else predicted, time and patience won out - he is a very lucky and blessed kitty for having been adopted by you!
