F5 SBT Male Urinating Problem

My Kitty is a F5 SBT 10 mnths old. Lately he no longer goes in his box and today was weird in less than 5 minutes he managed to Urinate three times all over my couch, coffee table & kitchen floor. He started off spraying and then its just become regular urinating all over the house. I took him to the vet 2weeks ago he was fine so I scheduled his neuter which is in one week from today. But today was just BAD it was 3 big puddles in less than 5 min. He no longer uses his litter box to urinate just to defecate.

Thank you I really hope it goes away if not I was reading up on similar problems that other people have had and i will be getting cat attract litter a new box and icky poo. I have his litter box with a plastic cover just so the litter doesn't go anywhere should I take that off as well? it is not completely closed

I would definitely get Anti Icky Poo, after neutering he may still use areas that aren't cleaned properly. And Cat Attract litter is a great idea as well. Cant hurt to try taking the lid off but I dont think that will help at this point. You may consider keeping him in a restricted easy to clean area until a few weeks after neutering as it will usually take a few weeks for his hormones to dissipate.

Assuming the spraying is due to sexual maturity and not a urinary tract infection, the marking behavior will go away after his neuter -- however, it could take a few weeks post-neuter for the behavior to stop as all the hormones need to leave his system.

Thank you so much for your help ! It was just so weird and I got worried he is my little fur-baby and well I know I messed up not neutering him sooner. Hopefully doing all this helps him out.

Just a note on the cat attract litter which is a great idea... they also sell an additive version that you can add to whatever litter you already have. Most pet stores sell it and so does Amazon, Chewy, etc. https://www.chewy.com/dr-elseys-precious-cat-ultra-litter/dp/32367

Actually it's not weird at all, it is quite natural and expected for an intact male to mark his territory. Hopefully once he is neutered the spraying will resolve, although I have a retired male that I neutered in April and he still marks from time to time.

Just curious, did neutering solve the problem? I was in the same situation. I have a male and a female. They are brother and sister 11 months old. My male wasn't spraying but was peeing everywhere but the litter box. I had them both fixed and the problem went away immediately.
