Feeding Schedule Recommendations

It's possible. We usually recommend getting one kitten at a time to make it easier to establish a bond between human and kitten before there's another kitten to compete with :)

There's no telling how over time they are going to mature. Some cats are just born extroverts. It was a must have trait for my SV. The key is responding to their body language because SO MUCH with a cat is non-verbal.

Here are my tips for being the irreplaceable human in their lives:
  • Be interesting, hide-and-seek, peek-a-boo (once you are perceived as not being an aggressor)
  • Keep engaging them daily one-on-one with interactive play, if the other jumps in, try to change up the type of play to what the one cat enjoys more.
  • Split your time equally, don't show favoritism even if one cat is less responsive.
  • Your hands are not toys.
  • Allow them to be cats, they will scratch, provide plenty of things to distract.
  • Be firm, but loveable if you need to tell then NO!
  • If you make it a competition, one cat will win so avoid this whenever possible.
  • Develop a special routine(s) with each.
  • Recognize they will love you in their own individual way.
  • When they treat you like an equal, and for a cat that's something, you did the above well.

Thanks a lot Sunny, those are some great points, I'll do my absolute best for these two cats. :)

For dominance, my money is on attitude.
Feeding schedule? We were trained to 4 meals per day. And we are greeted at the garage door, with the feed me head bump and stare.
I am confident the Savannahs will own you. It's unique the way they do it. It's why most of us have more than one.
