Thankfully he is on the small side but still very long and lean.
How old is Loki? If he has any growing left in him I suspect it won't be long before he is able to reach that flap and dispense the ice on his own...

Loki is 8.5 months he was growing like a weed till he hit 6 months then just stopped at just under 11 Lbs. and doesn't seem to have grown any in the last two months. He is very long and lean I call him an eel. I thought he was gonna be a big kitty but he's only slightly taller than our DSH. he can almost touch door knobs if he stretches but I don't think he'll ever be big enough to turn them. Vets guess was he'd end up around 14lbs when he was neutered at 5 months. I think he'll be well short of that. He's only an F6 but his daddy was taller stockier he takes more after mom who was very light and long.

8.5 months is pretty young to think that a kitten has reached adult size. He may yet surprise you, although if he doesn't sprout more by the time he is a year old, then he is probably done with the majority of his growing.

Rafiki's last growth spurt was when she was over 2 years old so he definitely could surprise you!

I've heard some Savannahs continue to grow into the second year so maybe. Then again I see him everyday so wouldn't notice size change but weight is pretty stagnant.

They grow in length and height first and then put on the weight. The weight only gain is often in the 3rd year.

Does anyone regret teaching their Savannah to play fetch?

Loki picked it up on his own but I did get a kick out of it so I made it a game. Now I get wet toys brought to me in the middle of the night over and over and over. Be careful what you wish for. Most of the Savannahs seem to enjoy playing fetch regardless of generation. Think before you encourage the behavior Loki game of fetch can last an hour non stop. He will bring the toy back a hundred time. LOL
I have an f4 female, any tips on getting her play?

He knows where the ice comes from but can't quite reach the flap to make the ice fall. I have no doubt he will figure out some high wire act to straddle the kitchen counter and the dispenser. Thankfully he is on the small side but still very long and lean.
Thanks, she will get her Troy and bring it close to me, and she rolls over on her back and looks at me to come get it
