Few questions on shipping

The general rule for most airlines is that if the kittens are under 6 months of age,and under 20lbs I believe, then they can travel in the one carrier. One person can only carry the one carrier, and only one fits under the seat, hence they have to fit into that carrier.

Most the airlines used to have that in their rules on the website but I noticed a few months ago that that changed. I think Southwest still allows it... you might have to go through each airline's website to see which other ones do...

I just went through two of them a little bit ago and got that, thank you, I'm thinking that's going to be the best route, the two should fit in a carrier just fine, delta will be the issue though, so I'm thinking of going with southwest so far

she had found that delta will allow 2 for carry on if they are under 6 months, same size and will be comfortable in the carrier. I didn't k ow if other airlines had different exceptions

That is awesome, Marissa...last time I checked, I could not find an airline that would allow 2 kittens/cats...so it is good to know. But both in one carrier makes sense

I flew two kittens to last year's Annual in Ohio (Labor Day weekend) in the same carrier like that. Southwest generally speaking has a much more relaxed attitude to pets on board...highly recommended for that reason!

I've also found Jet Blue and Virgin America to be good... while United and American tend to be somewhat rigid and even at times WRONG. I was fortunate once to have printed out United's policy on two kittens in a carrier years ago when traveling... because the checking agent tried to tell me I couldn't do it, so I produced the printout from the internet with their rules. She was not happy but she grudgingly allowed it. But that rule seems to have disappeared from the website, wondering if they just took Continental's rule on it and so no longer allow it.

Brigitte, I had the exact same experience with a ticket agent for US Airways a few years ago - I figured she must be new and from another airline (thought other things too, which I won't print here so I made her look up and read the policy for herself. She was NOT a happy camper and told the gate agents that my kittens SMELLED making them come over and check them before I boarded!! Of course the kittens were fine and they thought the ticket agent was batty too...
