Flooring - Savannah Proof

That looks really nice Kathy! There was nothing easy about the installation of my flooring, from having to sand the cement in some places and fill holes in others, to not being able to get out some of the tacks, to having a nightmare of a time trying to get the laminate pieces to fit together correctly. It was an ungodly chore, but I must admit it is really nice now that it's finished. However there is still a stack of planks out in the garage meant for the bedrooms that I have just not had the courage to tackle - in the last three years!
We put in engineered bamboo throughout our house and I love that... but it's probably not the cheapest out there...
We've removed carpets and laminate flooring, it got too difficult if a cat had an accident and we were not there to clear it up at once. Not all the laminates withstand moisture, being compressed "paper" for the most part. It's ceramic tiles in some rooms and vinyl in other rooms, and silicone around the room to waterproof any cracks...

Paige, once you decide on the product, I'd like to recommend a flooring company in northern NJ that my family (going back to my mom and dad) has used for over 40 years. Dundee Flooring in Clifton NJ. It's a family owned business by Barry and Sherry Rosenfeld and they are simply WONDERFUL. Great service and prices. They always backed up their work and the owners would come out if there was ever a question or problem. Barry passed away recently but Sherry has been running the show for a very long time because Barry had gone back and finished law school and started his own practice. Sherry is SUPER nice!
