I feel like my kitten is too small he will be one year next month on the 24th I leave his dry food out and feed him a spoon full of wet food mixed with the dry food twice a day. Is that enough sometimes it seems like it doesn't fill him up and at times he seems not to have an appetite at all. Am I not feeding him enough ?

At 1 yr my boy was getting a 3 oz can of wet 3 times a day. He does not eat dry though Now at 2 1/2 2 of mine get 3 oz 4-5 times a day.

Shango just turned 9 months last week. He eats 10-12 oz of raw a day spread out between 3 meals plus a 3 oz pouch of wet food before bed with a treat. I give him as much food as he wants. If I give him too much, he leaves some left over on his plate. Shango gets nippy when he's hungry so I learned very quickly if I wasn't giving him enough food.

Do you keep track of how much dry food your kitten eats? Doesn't sound like he's getting very much wet so hopefully he's eating enough dry food and drinking lots of water.

Why are you only feeding him a spoonful of wet a day? He should be eating as much as he wants, and I would make the majority of his diet wet or raw. How much does he weigh, and what generation is he? Can you feel his ribs sticking out when you pet him?

I am feeding him wet food twice a day. He is a F5 SBT and he ways 14.3lbs. I did want to start the raw food instead because I feel like he is always hungry and I always offer more food. He does drink lots of water.

Kumba should be eating between 14 and 22 ounces of food per day, even more if he's super active. He's still growing and will probably continue to grow for the next year. If he is always hungry as you say, then he's either not getting enough food or not getting enough nutrition from his food.

14.3lbs sounds huge for an F5 Savannah, I don't think you need to worry about his size, but if he's always acting hungry I would feed him more (unless he is fat).

Then I would feed him as much as he wants, but I would stick primarily to wet, because the kibble will eventually fatten him up.

Okay :) Thank you so much ! Im new at all this I just want to make sure I am going about it right. He really loves the dry food. But I will slowly start feeding him more wet food.
