We're pretty grateful we didn't get hit as bad as expected (Maryland) and those who were hit are in our thoughts.

Kitties refused to eat during the day/ night of Sandy came to us but the next day ate well like normal. I had enticed them with their favorite food. It was odd behavior.

I'm in Northern VA and it was just a bit windy. power flickered on and off a couple times but nothing other than that. my wife's parents house in CT flooded. also her cousins apartment is below ground level and the entire thing flooded. def was worse up north. saw some pics of NYC areas that flooded bad.

I picked up my f3 baby girl (Nyah) on Saturday and cause of the storm the fed gov shut down for 2 days which allowed me to stay home with her and yesterday they had no power so i was working remote from home. kinda happy cause the storm gave me more time with her.

Well you just need to move to Oregon and leave all that business behind. We have the occasional volcanic eruption or minor earthquake, hardly noticeable. And if you move to southern Oregon where jobs are scarce and housing is cheap, you'll have a free cat sitter close by.;)

)-: I do not blame you Paige. One would think that they could get the power back reasonably quickly given they knew this was coming. That is something I will never understand about our Country, we don't seem to be able to get services on and going as fast as other countries do after disasters. Why? I d not know. I think it is because of various laws and regulations.
