Fun things for your Savannahs?

Keegan loves to play hide and seek, he hides all of his mice around the house only to watch me try to find them .... under stove, under couch, in couch, under night table and I'm sure there is places I still haven't found :)

Mine absolutely love their nylon tunnel made for kids. Big enough for the tallest and roomy enough for several at once. Of course paper and large crinkly plastic (Goodwill bags are the fave and last a long time) bags are a huge hit here, too!

I once tried filling the tub up with some water and put a few feeder fish in there. I thought Kronos would go crazy, but he just stood in the water and watched them. Not even so much as a paw at one of them!

Now bottle caps are another story. He will play with one of those for hours.

Both my cats enjoy empty card board boxes and I will sprinkle cat nip inside in addition to what you described you already do.

A must have cat toy is called "da bird". Kronos will do flips in the air for that toy, he is crazy for it!

They both also love treats and enjoy a good training session. Kronos knows how to "shake" a paw now :)
I read reviews on Amazon re "da bird" and some said there is a danger from shards of fiberglass from it. ?? Any experience like that?

I tried that as well, Alisha!!! Taj didn't care about them and Zuri stuck her paws in the water for a few minutes...

I have never actually used the da bird, Evelyn. I prefer met pet's wand toys to anything like the da bird, as they are way more realistic..here are some examples:

http://metpet.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/flytoys.html
http://metpet.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/airspin_moreinfo.html
http://metpet.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product33.html
http://metpet.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product27.html

I have used all of these and my cats absolutely love them!!!! They love hunting the flytoys and I can play with them for an hour or more....even Cisco who never played much loves the flytoys. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the price, IMO.

Then Lori has some new products out I am going to try here: http://www.hyendry.com/Hyendry-flutterhyde-cat-teasers.html

And then we have Neko Flies...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VU3Z7C/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_details - all three love these fly toys...looks like little bugs on the end...all three cats stalk them...zuri hunts and stalks and takes the fly in her mouth and runs to hide it from the others :)

Oh and don't let me forget Ethical Sponge Soccer toys:

Zuri's absolute favorite! We play fetch with them every day and you can often find Zuri running around with one in her mouth, begging to play. or she will bat them around on her own...they bounce well, so she bounces them, chases them, catches them, bats them and when they come back to her, she bats them again!!!

I made up a new game last night that Kronos LOVES. Many of you guys know that I enjoy training my cats! Kronos is learning to jump on things that I ask him to, then he get a treat.

Last night I was running around the house, calling him to come and jump on this or jump on that. He was having so much fun!

This is a great activity because

1) I am teaching him what is appropriate to jump on
2) He is getting exercise
3) He is learning to come when I call him

I will try to make a video of this game some time :)
