I have a question

Since Servals are exotics....are F1 Savannah's considered to be exotic crosses? You say some can be 75%...Do they require permits or any special paper work or are they treated the same as lower generation Savannah's?

I know where we live there is no restrictions on owning Savannah's. can't seem to find info on permits or info beyond that.

The Federal opinion is that anything with a domestic parent is a domestic cat... hence all generations of Savannahs are domestic cats. That can be why in some places a person won't be able to get a USDA license to have a Serval as they would not qualify as an exotic cat breeder if all they produced were F1s not more Servals. And most states go by that definition.

But some states go by the "any drop of wild" is not okay... and some countries. And CFA.
