Going outside the box...EVERYWHERE outside the box!

I assume that Atticus is now using the Litter Robot instead of dismantling it?
He is, thank goodness. But he still waits outside it after he or one of the others uses it so he can try to catch the pee clod or poop before it goes down the exit chute. Never a dull moment.

Good points about the litter boxes. However that runs directly into a problem with my wife and an objection to litter boxes scattered everywhere. It's something to consider however.

Thank you
As Witchy said, what would your wife rather? You can present it as a temporary fix to decide if that is the issue... and if it is, then work on an acceptable compromise that your wife can tolerate and your cat can use.

I'm not a fan of automated boxes like Witchy, but that could well help... or there are litterbox furniture that allow you to "hide" the litterbox but not have it too cramped that the average cat isn't happy using it. http://www.houzz.com/photos/4765410...er-Brown-contemporary-litter-boxes-and-covers is one I have here in the guest room so my cats have another litterbox location but guests are not dealing with the "unsightly" litterbox. I wouldn't have this as a sole option but some of my cats really like the hidden box and this is large enough for a "jumbo" sized litterbox and some space around it. Savannahs are tall cats hence you can't go for all types of furniture for them.

But a trial of a few litterboxes around the house to see if that affects the behavior and then work further on this?
